The United States (October 23) Covid-19 increased by 80,000 Covid-19 cases, the highest number of cases in a single day since the outbreak. Research from the University of Washington predicts that the cumulative death toll from the disease in the United States may exceed 500,000 by February next year.
Covid Tracking Project data also showed that the United States added 83,010 cases on October 23, breaking the highest record of 77,299 cases on July 16.
Among them, the number of new infections in 16 states also set a single-day record, including Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and other 11 major battlefields in the March 3 general election. The number of inpatients in infected hospitals is also increasing. As of October 23, the number of hospitalizations in the United States was 41,485, the highest number since the end of August.
Health experts have not yet determined the cause of the epidemic’s warming up, but pointed out possible factors, including cold weather that keeps people indoors, anti-epidemic fatigue, and students returning to school and classes. Currently, the United States has accumulated more than 8 million epidemic infections and more than 220,000 deaths. It is the country with the worst epidemic in the world.
