According to China’s “NetEase” report, Zhang Zhongbin, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Hubei Higher People’s Court, vice president, member of the Judicial Committee, and a senior judge at the first level, was found to have committed suicide in the office yesterday afternoon. The 53-year-old Zhang Zhongbin has a fairly complete public career qualifications within the Chinese Communist system. After graduating from the English group of the Department of Foreign Languages of Hubei University, he entered the Zhongnan School of Political Science and Law to study for a master’s degree, specializing in criminal law, and later received a doctorate in law. After Zhang Zhongbin entered the court system and took office, he was promoted all the way from a grass-roots assistant judge to the vice president of the Hubei Higher Court.
Zhang Zhongbin has hosted several anti-criminal projects in the past, and he had also hosted anti-criminal meetings three days before his death. According to a report from China’s Caixin, an acquaintance invited Zhang Zhongbin to have dinner with him at noon on the 19th, but he froze uncharacteristically and did not accept the invitation. Unexpectedly, news of the murder was spread in the afternoon. There is also news that on the morning of the 19th, relevant leaders of Hubei Province had asked Zhang Zhongbin to talk. At around 4 pm that day, when the staff of Hubei Higher People’s Court delivered documents to the office, they knocked on the door and no one answered, and Zhang Zhongbin’s phone could not be connected. Finally, the staff took the key to open the door by themselves, only then did they find that Zhang Zhongbin was dead in the office.
However, the Chinese authorities emphasized that Zhang Zhongbin “was ill and took medicine for a long time” and hanged himself in the office. It also stated that the public security organs ruled out criminal incidents through on-site investigations and investigations.
In addition, some Chinese netizens pointed out that the CCP’s “Central Inspection Team” only came to Hubei for inspections about 10 days ago. Unexpectedly, news of Zhang Zhongbin’s death came out today. The “Central Inspection Team” is the inspection agency dispatched by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. It is responsible for and reports to the Central Inspection Work Leading Group. After the inspection work is completed, the inspection teams must study and write reports and put forward “handling opinions” on the problems found during the inspection. In the end, the report was directly submitted to the central core team, so some people described the “central inspection team” as the “East Factory.” (Shi Yijie/Comprehensive Foreign Telegraph Report)
