Thai officials said that a bus collided with a train today, at least 17 people were killed and dozens were injured.

Local media reported that the local police chief said that the passengers on the bus were on their way to a temple in Cha Choeng Sao province (Cha Choeng Sao province), preparing to attend the Buddhist Lent end ceremony. Chachoengsao is about a 2-hour drive from Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.

The police chief said: “We know that there are currently 17 people killed.” He also said that the incident occurred around 8 am.

The local chief told reporters that currently about 29 people have been injured.
The preliminary images provided by the rescuers showed that the ground was full of twisted metal and debris, the victims’ bodies were lying beside the rails, and luggage and other items were scattered on the ground.

The body of the bus turned to one side and the roof had fallen off. The rescuers said that the crane must be dispatched to lift the body.
The number of casualties is expected to increase.
