September 26 is the polling day for the Sabah state election in Malaysia. More than 1 million qualified voters can cast a sacred vote to choose their representative.

The Sabah state election is highly competitive this year, with 447 candidates vying for 73 seats.

The chairman of the Election Committee, Abdul Ghani, called on voters to comply with epidemic prevention measures. Health officials will be on duty at the polling station, and voters must disinfect their hands and undergo temperature testing before entering the polling station. People who are unwell must undergo further examinations.

The voting will end at 5 pm. The Election Committee estimates that the preliminary vote count will be released at 10 pm.
