He said that as of the 24th of this month, a total of 2,696 people have returned to Malaysia from 22 countries and are currently undergoing compulsory quarantine. These returnees included Malaysians and foreigners who were allowed to enter the country. Eleven of them were diagnosed and sent to hospital for treatment.

He said that the police also arrested 231 people for violating restraint orders, prevented 22 people to assist in the investigation, released 18 people on bail and fined 173 people. Among the arrested, 14 were wandering in the nightclub, and more than 100 were involved in other violations, including compliance with social distancing.
