Lee Hsien Loong announced the cancellation of this year’s National Day mass meeting and delivered an important speech in Parliament, breaking the tradition of Singapore’s 54th National Day mass meeting.

The fourteenth session will be held on August 24. President Halima will preside over the opening ceremony and announce the policy on behalf of the government. Lee Hsien Loong pointed out that it is not appropriate to hold large-scale events during the epidemic, so the National Day mass meeting will be cancelled and an important speech will be delivered to the National Assembly in September.
