The acquisition is expected to be completed by 2030 and aims to strengthen the company’s competitiveness in the global aluminum sector.

The acquisition will help secure stable raw material supplies and promote integration and development of Indonesia’s aluminum industry. Inalum stated that it is committed to sustainable resource development while improving production efficiency and environmental standards.

The Indonesian government supports the plan, viewing it as a way to enhance effective utilization of the country’s mineral resources and boost economic growth and employment.
