Afghanistan withdraws its decision to ban female students from singing publicly

On March 13, local time, the Ministry of Education of Afghanistan issued a statement stating that the decision to ban female students aged 12 and over in public and private schools across the country from singing publicly was revoked. The statement stated that the Ministry of Education is committed to supporting the rights of all students, including boys and girls, to participate in cultural, artistic and sports activities.

After the Afghan Ministry of Education issued the ban on the 10th of this month, it caused great dissatisfaction in the local area. The ban stipulates that female students over the age of 12 can only sing in activities that are fully attended by women.
