Hurricane Zeta threatens people on Mexico’s Caribbean coast to hoard goods

The Mexican authorities today warned residents and tourists to stay indoors and take refuge in order to guard against the second hurricane advancing toward Mexico’s Caribbean coast this month.

According to AFP report, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) pointed out that Hurricane Zeta has intensified from a tropical storm to a first-degree hurricane, with a maximum sustained wind speed of 130 kilometers per hour.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami, the state also stated that as of 1910 GMT, Zeta’s location is about 170 kilometers southeast of the Mexican resort island of Cozumel, and it has a chance to invade the Yucatan Peninsula tonight. (Yucatan Peninsula).

In addition to hoarding groceries, residents of the resort city of Cancun use wood and tape to secure windows; drivers line up to buy gasoline.

The Atlantic Ocean is extremely active this hurricane season, and Zeta is the 28th named storm this season.
