Malaysian head of state will not see guests in the next two weeks

After the Malaysian People’s Justice Party Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar and Umno Advisory Council Chairman Tunku Razali entered the palace to meet the head of state, the head of state postponed all meetings due to the new crown epidemic and will not see guests in the next two weeks. The National Palace confirmed this afternoon that the head of state Sultan Abdullah will not see guests for the next two weeks.

According to media reports, Datuk Ahmad Fadifa, the Royal Affairs Coordinator of the National Palace, pointed out that due to Klang Valley’s two-week conditional movement control order starting today, the heads of state will also postpone the two-week meeting. He said that although the head of state was scheduled to receive the leaders of major political parties, all appointments were postponed as Klang Valley re-executed the regulations.

He said that the palace will decide a new meeting date only after the conditional control order ends. This means that the results of Datuk Seri Anwar, Chairman of the People’s Justice Party, will be postponed again. Anwar held a press conference at noon on September 23 and declared that it has obtained a strong majority and convincing support from congressmen to establish a new government.

However, since the head of state entered the National Heart Center on September 21 and was later hospitalized for follow-up treatment, the meeting between Anwar and the head of state must be postponed. The head of state did not immediately summon Anwar when he was discharged from hospital on October 2. Anwar only announced on the 8th that he would meet with the head of state on October 13.
