The Russian-made S400 missile was revealed to have failed to launch, and the launch tube was ejected and fell back to its position

According to a report by India’s “Eurasia Times” on September 26, a video circulated on the Internet showed that a Russian S-400 missile was suspected of malfunctioning during launch and hit its own launcher after falling.

According to the report, the Russian army is holding the “Caucasus-2020” strategic exercise. The video circulating on social media shows that it is suspected that an S-400 air defense system missile failed to launch. The video showed that during the air defense exercise, a set of S-400 launchers in the Russian army fired two interceptor bombs in succession. One of the missiles was successfully launched and rushed towards the target, while the problem appeared on the second missile. The second missile successfully ejected from the launch tube, but failed to ignite into the boost phase, and then the missile fell onto the launch position.

After the missile fell, it hit the launcher, and at the same time, it was possible to see nearby soldiers rushing to the military truck to look for cover, fearing that the missile would explode, and then black smoke rose in the background image.

The report believes that although some details of this video cannot be confirmed, it does increase the concerns of potential buyers of this weapon system. “Eurasia Times” previously reported that the Russian-made S-400 air defense missile system currently in operation in Turkey has defects.

Regardless of US warnings and threats, Turkey purchased the Russian-made S-400 air defense missile system last year, and received the first batch of missiles and supporting equipment in July this year. However, many media outlets have revealed that Turkey has found problems with the S-400 system, and these problems have not been resolved in the past six months.
