The Thai media revealed that the two ancient Thai stone door beams previously exhibited in the American Museum are expected to be sent back to Thailand in March next year.
According to reports, the two gate beams originally belonged to the Prasat Khao Lon Historic Preserve and the Prasat Nong Hong Historic Preserve, and were later stolen and smuggled to the United States. Liang Dao Men Liang had previously exhibited at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco.
The relevant authorities in Thailand provided written evidence to the United States to prove that the two door beams are the property of the Thai government. At present, the Thai government has assigned the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to write to the US Department of Homeland Security to track the smuggled cultural relics and ensure that they are returned to Thailand.
