On August 24, local time, TikTok formally filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration. On the same day, TikTok also released a statement on its official website entitled “Why We Sued the Trump Administration”, revealing the content and details of the indictment.
The statement stated that the lawsuit was filed jointly by TikTok and its parent company Bytedance, and the indictment directly pointed out that the executive order issued by the Trump administration involved four unconstitutional and three ultra vires.
