Explosion in Philippines, local Red Cross said it has killed 6 people

According to local media in the Philippines, the police revealed that on August 24, an explosion occurred in Jolo, Sulu Province, southern Philippines. The initial police report showed that the explosion occurred at about 11:53 in the morning and was located in front of a food store and a computer store in Wald City Village in Heluo Town.

The police are investigating the presence of other explosive devices. Senator Gordon, chairman of the Philippine Red Cross, said that the explosion was caused by a motorcycle loaded with improvised explosive devices.

At present, 4 soldiers and 2 civilians have been killed. He Luo Town is the base camp of the largest terrorist organization in the Philippines-Abu Sayyaf.
