Lebanon will investigate whether there was foreign interference in the explosion

The President of Lebanon said that investigators will investigate whether the explosion may have been interfered by outsiders. The Lebanese President stated in a statement that the investigation is divided into three stages: first, the method of importing and storing explosives; second, whether the explosion was caused by negligence or an accident; third, there is the possibility of external intervention.

To date, the bomb blast on August 4 has killed more than 150 people and injured more than 5,000. At least 16 Beirut port officials have been placed under house arrest.
