Malaysian Najib has paid an additional one million ringgit bail pending appeal

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib, who was convicted of corruption and money laundering, has paid an additional 1 million ringgit bail, or about S$330,000, awaiting appeal.

The 67-year-old (Najib) has paid a total of RM7 million in bail for the case.

Najib was convicted yesterday (28th) for embezzling SRC International’s 42 million ringgit funds. All seven charges are established. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison and fined 210 million ringgit.
