According to the “Today” report, the court revealed that the defendant’s ex-wife was living alone “out of pity” when the case happened. Sometimes the defendant was allowed to stay at home. She did not seek medical treatment afterwards, but told the defendant that she had called her nephew and that her sister was on the way to arrive, so the defendant gave up and left.
As early as April last year, the defendant also stole the ex-wife’s ATM card for 350 SGD.

Another incident occurred on July 13 last year. The defendant was admitted to Sengkang General Hospital because of a fall. He wanted to go downstairs to buy drinks at 7 o’clock in the evening, but was rejected by the nurse on duty because of his health.

But he refused to listen and insisted on leaving the ward. The three security guards went to dissuade him after receiving the notice. When they tried to persuade him to return to the room, he suddenly showed a pair of scissors and pointed at one of them, threatening to hurt him. Warn them not to approach or they will be beaten.
