When a car suddenly cut into her driveway, the female driver of the tow truck blew the whistle. Unexpectedly, the other party not only blew the whistle and hit the middle finger, but also smashed the rearview mirror of the trailer. The female driver became angrily “Roadmaster” and waved. He slammed the male driver and slammed the iron back into the rearview mirror of the car.
The case occurred on July 31 last year. The robust 24-year-old defendant Nurul Syafiqah today (21st) pleaded guilty to two charges of intentional injury and mischief. The 23-year-old car driver Bryan Goh Zhi Bing (Bryan Goh Zhi Bing) was also charged in court and the case will be dealt with separately.
The case showed that the defendant and Daniel Wu drove along No. 1 Changi South Road to Changi Business Park Middle Road at 8 am on the day of the incident. Bryan Goh is driving in the rightmost lane of the three lanes. This lane is for vehicles to turn right to No. 2 Changi South Road.
When the vehicle reached the T junction, Bryan Goh suddenly cut into the second lane. At that time, the defendant’s trailer was driving on this lane. She whistle to the car and brakes to avoid collision with the car.
The tow truck and car turn right at the next junction T into No. 2 Changi South Road. The defendant in the rightmost lane suddenly drove into Bryan Goh’s lane. Bryan Goh blew the whistle and pointed his middle finger at the defendant.
Later, when the two cars stopped at the junction of the traffic signal control devices, Bryan Goh got out of the car and kicked the battery box onto the trailer. The defendant rushed out of the car and caught him. Bryan Goh struggled, and the defendant beat him several times on the head and back of the body. Some members of the public stepped forward to separate the two, and the defendant continued to beat others. Bryan Goh did not fight back.
Later, Bryan Goh took out a metal flask from the car and smashed the left side rearview mirror behind the trailer head, causing the defendant to suffer a loss of more than 1,400 SGD. The defendant walked back to the trailer with an iron rod and broke the rearview mirror of the car. The repair cost is 580 SGD.
According to medical reports, Bryan Goh suffered multiple bruises and a torn right lower lip. The defendant had bruises on his right cheek and felt tenderness.
The lawyer defended the defendant and said the incident was caused by the car driver in the first place. The defendant hit the other side because the driver smashed the battery box on the trailer, but the defendant also admitted that he overreacted. Because of this incident, she lost her job, which she regretted.
The prosecution pointed out that the defendant’s behavior was like a tyrant and must be severely punished. The defendant should know how to control himself while driving on the highway. In addition, the defendant did not compensate the car driver for his losses.
